Day four ... A new dawn...

Are we all having fun yet?

Day four is a time for something different... so here goes.

Excerpt:
He swore silently in his head. He knew the deal had occurred in the Silver Squirrel Pros-house. So why wouldn’t she tell him that? Was she moonlighting as a pros, perhaps? The thought had his stomach churning. It wasn’t one that sat very well with him.
“What in hell were you doing in the Silver Squirrel anyway?” He regretted the words instantly, watching fascinated as frustration rose. She flinched slightly, and he felt sick. A ruddy glow crept up her neck toward her cheeks. The blush color against the pallor of her face made him frown slightly, answering his silent question. Something more might be going on there, but she wasn’t a pros. He knew it instinctively, and he his uneasiness about the whole situation deepened.
“I don’t...” She coughed, eyes closing, and he thought for a minute she was either a damn good actress or something was wrong. That glitter in her eyes when they reopened, almost glassy, alerted him that something was definitely very wrong.

Day Three... Is it getting hot in here?

Okay so day three has dawned... Bright and early...

And just because you all came back to visit... Here is a little excerpt to celebrate!

Excerpt:

Interrogation Room One. What a great name, she thought snidely. Really inventive.
The door opened slowly and she was quickly thrust inside. The door snapped shut behind her as she looked around the bare room. A table and two chairs sat, scarred and ugly, in the middle of the floor. The metal was cold and glittering in the cool air as the air circulators pushed currents around the frigid room. She made her way over and sat down, waiting for the captain to enter. Her head drooped to the table and she let it rest, seeking the refreshing cool on her overly hot skin.
Her hands stung and her eyes burned. She felt sorry for herself as she thought about the mess she had gotten into, and she turned her stinging hands to check the damage. They were bright red and radiated heat. The deep scratches were swollen and weepy; sticky drops of goop coated the raw skin. Never a good sign, she already knew that.

What was that?  Not quite the heat you expected? Lol... Stay tuned then!

Day Two... Can you keep up?

So... day two of my countdown to the release of The Plan...

Did I forget the blurb yesterday?  Surely not (*winks*)

What happens when wrong and right collide amidst indescribable passion?Jonah Fielding has been brought in to clean up the Department of Authority on Centauri. In the course of his work, he captures Kadie Frost, the young woman who managed to escape his sting operation. Kadie, an orphan, now almost destitute illegal parts runner, is shocked to find herself falling for the man who arrested her.
Jonah's world is one that Kadie doesn't understand and fears. When he offers her a deal, she agrees to help him with the investigation. Now they must fight an impossible attraction, find the bad guys, and along the way they'll even end up getting married…purely for the sake of the case, of course.
In the middle of upheaval they find themselves surprised by the scorching promise of passion while bewildered at how it all went awry. The clock is ticking and anything can happen next. Will they survive when work and pleasure collide?
Content Warning: This book contains a sexy, hot man in uniform and a wayward, hotheaded woman, as well as lots of adventure of the futuristic and bedroom variety.

Today's excerpt:

I need to visit the sick bay, Kadie told herself as her head ached. She entered the spartan room, not seeing the cool, white walls or floor as she lowered herself down to the medibed, dropping the coveralls to her waist. The whole time, her fingers stung from her fumbled movements.“Engage the medical droid.” Her voice strained and sounded tired as she gave the command.
Lights blinked on in the alcove as she watched. This was one purchase she remained thankful for over and over again, even though it had cost her thousands of hard earned credits...credits she didn’t have. Any freighter pilot understood basic med staff cost more, so she had scraped what she could together, begging and bartering enough to be able to afford the investment.

It's the final countdown!

Well, maybe not... but I've always wanted to say that!

Here we are - a cool 5 1/2 days until the release of The Plan with Beachwalk Press. So, I'm going to put up a daily teaser for between now and release day...

Are you ready?

Here goes:

He’d spied her tripping over and falling down the steps that led to the ground outside the pros-house, which would have taken most freighter captains down for good. He watched in amazement as she rose and kept going, albeit a lot slower than before the fall. She seemed confident of her direction though. The girl eventually sidled into an authorized pros-tablishment near the port, his men missing the back door until it was too late. She had eluded his team.
He sighed again, the sound of his frustration echoing. His men did the best job they knew how to do, but were mainly untrained; all but a few he would categorize as unfit and unhealthy. The number of new recruits had been necessary on Centauri after the cleanout of officers. The months of hard work that stemmed from the rampant corruption had stretched his resources thin, so he took what men he could get. For now anyway, he reminded himself.
