Phoenix Johnson - The Return Of Their Master

My friend, Phoenix is back with a new title. If you love anything dark and paranormal then you really should check out her latest title!

Blurb:
Angie and her vampire sisters are happy, making their lives in the modern world after escaping from their abusive Creator, Vitalis. Jake is a mortal man who has fallen hard for Angie, unaware of her secret and just how it affects his own life. Their lives, however, are about to be thrown into chaos.

Has Vitalis really found the sisters after all these years, just as Angie finds love?

Preparing to battle for their freedom and the life of their sister, Angie must ready herself. Not only must she take on the father she once loved, but she also must choose between the mortal life she wanted with Jake, or to protect vampires and humans alike from an unknown, ancient threat.
The Return of Their Master is t

he first taste of a dark world held in check by a covenant that Angie believed was a myth. She is the only thing standing between the world of humanity and utter chaos, but will she sacrifice her chance at a normal life with the man she loves?

Excerpt:
Jake moved forward and cupped my cheeks, tilting my head as though trying to find the wounds that would explain the blood. “Angie, what the hell?” He wildly searched around and grabbed a shirt from a nearby rack to wipe my face clean. His worried efforts only made the bloody tears flow faster.
“I need to tell you something, Jake. Follow me to the office out back.” He held my hand as I led the way. Once inside, I closed the door and directed Jake to the couch. I didn’t know how to start. I didn’t even know if he’d believe me, but there was no ignoring it now. I had to at least try.
“You’re going to find this hard to believe. I mean, I wouldn’t either if I didn’t know, and once you know you can’t unknow, you know?” My hands were fluttering in my lap like an injured bird until Jake reached over and covered them with one of his own, warm hands.
“Angie, just tell me.” His calm, gentle smile was one of the reasons I loved him.
Lies ran through my mind and I gave serious thought to blaming it on a medical condition. I’d seen those TV shows about odd phenomena, too. Maybe that would be more believable than the truth. The thought of lying to him even more, however, made me feel ill. A deep breath helped settle my nerves. “I… I’m a vampire,” I whispered.

About Phoenix:

A woman of many passions, I'm currently focusing on my writing when Uni gives me time. I dabble in a few genres, for example my paranormal erotic trilogy of novellas, called Wolf Smitten. Book One, The Wolf In The Neighborhood, has just been accepted by Naughty Nights Press and I've just sent final draft off to my editor, Once Bitten Twice Shy is waiting for acceptance and I'm working on Leader of The Pack, books two and three respectively.

I'm also currently studying at University to get my Bachelor's Degree in Professional Writing and Publishing. I'm only in my first units, but finding it an interesting challenge!

I also write reviews and an amateur photographer, but with Alana, my muse, throwing so many ideas at me, as well as the demands of Uni, everything else has to go on the back burner for a while.
